How often do we sit and acknowledge the little things around us. The tiny little details that may seem trivial but never fail to put a smile on our faces. Like the smell of coffee, snuggling in the blanket all day, bonfire nights and ah those warm, fuzzy mornings when the sun comes out. Well that's what winters mean to me. I've come to realise, no matter how much I hate these three horrifying months, with time I've learnt to embrace the good, even in these gloomy times. Yes.
Now that my love-hate relationship with this season is out in the open, lets talk about the things I love. Winter layering definitely tops my list. Layering dresses over stockings with blazers or just layering your winter essentials with scarves and woollen caps. Another favourite is the colour tan. Be it tan boots, a tan bag or a tan overcoat, this colour adds the much needed warmth to your outfits on chilly days.
In this post I tried doing both, layered my outfit around this tan overcoat from Zara which is probably one of my favourite winter items from the closet. Combined it with a taupe leatherette overthrow from Only. I was pleasantly surprised by how Only has come up with some super chic jumpers and jackets. If you haven't checked them out yet, you must! To break the neutrals, I wore a bright blue crop top with basic black pencil pants. I was in love with this hut shaped ring from Blur the minute I laid eyes on it. Its edgy and fun. Black Michael Kors Hamilton satchel bag and brown ankle length Vanilla Moon boots completed my look.
