When it comes to semi formals or smart formals for girls, we always end up having a hard time. Be it finding that perfect dress, shirt or shoes. Even if you manage to find a dress that flatters your body, finding that perfect pair of shoes that not only matches your taste and outfit but also are comfortable is like a nightmare. 

I wore this body hugging dress from H&M for my convocation ceremony. Yes, after a long, heated debate with self on wether to wear a saree or a dress, my pretty, pink saree lost to power dressing. I was very particular about my shoes. I found the perfect pink heels by Woods to match my dress. Kitten heels are not a favourite but these were just gorgeous. I think patent onion pink is such a pretty colour for winters. Also kitten heels are like the most comfortable heels ever. I could literally run in them. They are sturdy, smart and serves the purpose of wearing heels. If you don't own a pair yet, do check out the Wood's new collection and buy yourself one.

Completed the look with a delicate, dangling pair of earrings and a watch for that little feminine touch. I also straightened my hair for a more polished look.

Winters are almost here and I am already finding myself looking for thin overthrows or jackets every morning before leaving for work. It started with being pleasant to now being chilly. Am I the only one who feels a bit trolled by the weather currently? You switch off the fan, it's too hot, you switch it on, it's too cold. I am well, finding it kinda hard to find a mid way in between these two extreme realities. Since we are talking about thin jackets, I thought why not do a post on how to team up these jackets for this autumn season.

Denims are an all time classic. It's really hard to go wrong with them. White shirt over your comfy pair of jeans, always works. The only time I've seen denims fail is probably teaming them over another denim item. A lot of times people try to match the same colour of the wash or sometimes the fit is wrong and it doesn't work out. I've tried to keep the wash of the denim almost similar. I love these jeans from Armani for it's pattern and fit. The denim top is from Sarojni Nagar market and quite a cheap buy. I layered up the outfit with a short white jacket from H&M, perfect for this weather.

To add a little colour, I've worn this bright printed scarf from forever 21 and tried not to go too heavy on the accessories. Dark brown is my favourite colour for this season and I'm trying to buy all the things I can in this shade. Team a bagpack with it. You can use a tote bag too incase you don't like to carry one of these. Boots are all out and all set to be badass. The only thing to add are the Ray Bans. It's time to put your summer clothes aside and start hunting for those comfy jackets and blazers.

There is no bigger joy in life than to see your little ones happy and team Heads Up For Tails did exactly that by sending the sweetest box of goodies for my two cuties. Isn't that awesome and easy?! It's almost like they knew my dogs from a really long time, aware of his likes, dislikes and habits. The box contains snacks, accessories, toys for the pets and a cute notebook for the owner to keep a record of their pets. My black lab, Buzz loves to play and this thick rope toy was perfect for him to chew and play all day with. Oreo, the pug loves his treats and the chicken salamis are his absolute favourite. Both of them were shining in their cute little bandanas and for a change decided to pose as well. Quite a rare sight! My favourite thing in the box is the little keychain that says V.I.P for very important pet! Kurti - Fab India// Earrings - Boutique in Hauz Khas

On days when I want to be the most relaxed and comfortable, I wear my most favourite and reliable kurtis. I absolutely love Fab India and Anokhi and if you love wearing Indian wear, you obviously have shopped from here before. No matter what you wear, the grace that comes when you wear Indian wear is unmatched to any other item of clothing.

I am wearing an Anarkali kurta from Fab India. They mostly have block printed kurtas which are my favourite but since I didn't have anything in solid colours, this was a pleasant break. I love how it's so simple with minimal embroidery which lets the fuchsia pink completely stands out . Its flowy and breezy perfect for any weather. The best thing about wearing such things is how you can wear them practically anywhere. Be it work, party, meeting, mall, literally anywhere. Not many people know the difference between a kurti and a kurta. A kurti is a short tunic like top whereas a kurta is a loose top that ends below your knees. In simpler terms I am wearing a kurta.

Depending on where you are wearing it, you can jazz it up a little by accessorising. I wore it with these delicate pearl string earrings that I recently bought from a boutique in Hauz Khas Village to make it a little more formal and to add colour I wore a double bindi set, matching to the colours in my kurta. Make sure you buy the correct size of bindis for your face.

If you are not in a mood to go fully traditional, like wearing a complete suit set or a saree, you can wear these kurtas or kurtis instead and still be ethnic. Give those jeans a break already now!

Even after all those years, your heart reminisces your school days like it was only yesterday you were saying bye to all your friends after the 8th period and riding on the school bus back home. When we talk about our childhood, school life is one of the most prominent memories. All those class bunks, heart aches, gossips, fights, school dances and that farewell, will always be among your most cherished moments. Oh, the good old days.

There used to be a time when loose used to be in. Borrowing shirts from your father or wearing your mother's vintage blouses with baggy pants or denims was suppose to be cool. As we grew older, our school skirts became lower while the hems went higher. I still remember coming home from school and begging my grandma to make my skirt another 2 inches shorter. Haha! Yes we all have done that!

In this post I invade the cupboards of the people around me and go back into time. I am wearing my mother's really old white shirt, which she had bought from this brand called Bizarre. Quite a rage it used to be back then. I still remember the huge lines we had to stand in for the trials. Worse than Zara x 10 years back. White shirts over skirts is what us Dipsites wore all  throughout our school lives. Even till date I steal things from my mum's closet and wear them. Good thing about fashion is, it always comes back.

I teamed up the white shirt with a tight, back slit skirt from UCB. Let me tell you this skirt was first worn by me in grade 6. I have no idea how and why I still own it. I matched it with an over sized tote from Tory Burch. Tote bags have always been popular as they are not just stylish but also utility based. You can literally carry your whole world and fit into these bags. Back then they were more popular then your slings or back packs.

I finished the look with white heels and these long, blue and yellow striped socks that actually belong to my boyfriend. Yes he actually is the proud owner of these. You will also find little boats, neons and polka socks hidden somewhere safely inside his cupboard. 

Did not accessorise it much except my favourite pair of loops. Every girl from the 90's have owned atleast one pair and worn it till they actually died. I hope reading this post took you back to your school days too!
