Studs, spikes are the flavour of this season. Whether on shoes, bags, collars or jackets, they pretty much can be seen everywhere. Have been trying to find red studded ballerinas from a really long time and finally decided to just make them on my own. Its a 5 min job after you've selected the studs you want to put. Make sure the studs you buy are flat on one side and then you're all set to start!

Skirts are an all time summer favourite. Feminine, breezy, flowy, just everything perfect for this season. Printed and Maxi skirts are trending this season and so I decide to do two very different looks experimenting with the same.
My first look is the one I like to call 'The Hipster'. She is confident, she is daring. She listens to her heart and seeks adventure. She doesn't follow the rules and dresses for herself. This look is perfect for lunch out with friends. I go for a short floral printed skirt. Florals are a favourite, which clearly is visible in all my posts! For this kind of look you can even try aztec prints. Pretty hot this season too! The look is completed with a dual toned distressed denim shirt and a leather sling bag.
My second look is 'The Diva'. She is stylish, she is elegant. This trendy diva doesn't believe in following trends but making them. She is strong, she is our woman of substance. Prim and proper to the very last detail, she definitely is a head turner at parties. This look is perfect for a lunch date or evening out with friends. Maxi skirt with a knotted sheer top gives it a very vintage feel. The look is completed with round framed sunnies!

Satya Paul showcases its demi couture line on the 3rd day of Delhi Couture Week. Textile fabrication, engineered prints, X-rayed floral renderings and limited but beautiful embellishments. This show was definitely a hit. SP has been known for its bold prints and patterns but this time Masaba goes one step ahead and completely reinvents the brand. Beautiful jewellery by PCJ was hard to miss. This collection has an old world charm made for the woman of today which is its USP. To top it all, the Kapoors walk the ramp, melting our hearts in black sherwanis. Oh Arjun Kapoor, marry me please!*sigh

First Look
Along with her signature collection of gowns and minis, this time designer Monisha Jaising showcased an Indian collection for the first time on day 2 of Delhi Couture Week. The collection is feminine and elegant keeping in mind the modern bride. From the music to the visuals at the back, it all takes you back to your childhood, dreaming about your fairytale wedding with your prince coming on a white horse! We see a variety of colors from darker tones to pastels to fluorescents. The highlight of the show definitely would be the sequinned pants. Watch out for them they are gonna be the next big trend!
